Mt. Pico de Loro

Ternate, Cavite  664 MASL
Specs: Minor climb Days required 1 to 2 Days
Hours to summit: 2-5 hours
A perfect shot by Ms. Gladys when were on top of “Parrots Beak”  of Mt. Pico de Loro with Mavin,Dyok,Ryan,Joel,Ron,Felix,Rose Ann. And Jigen. Til now I can’t imagine I did it , with the help of  Bheng (Rose Ann) who encourage  me to be with her.
The group ….we are all 16 , 8 mans and 8 ladies. We all met in Ternate because all of them from Manila, while me and Joel from Laguna. Even 3 and half hours sleep (from 2 to 10 schedule @ office) what I felt is not the effect of puyat but the excitement.
We have to drop first here at DENR to register and pay 20 per head , after that a 5 mins walk to the jump-off and now........ ready for the assault.
seen in picture this is just a simple branch of tree but I push my self to up in here , nainspire lang ako kasi sila Marvin at Joel umakyat na.

at  camp 1 after more than 30 mins wak I think, dito na muna nag rest and paid another 20pesos  .
along the trail I saw this thing, inisip ko talaga kung anu to ..akala ko nung una ung hamog then I notice "wishing feather" ang alam kong tawag sa dito

The first view of mountain , the two summit

need a break, need a lunch muna before we proceedtosummit, medyo nanghihina na din kasi kaya need na ng charge.
Slippery part of trail , if your not wearing a proper foot wear , there is a tendency na madulas at gumulong pababa, mabuti na lang at ndyan ang mga boys to assist all girls
Now i found my self at the bottom of the rock and begin to another assault, but this time not in forest but in a tall rock, good thing i wear my AAI jersey shirt kaya kita ako sa pic ;)
The rope climbing session , while Marvin lay his hand habang gumagapang ako sa rock   to reach him … and Bheng is next

group shot at the top…sobrang happy kasi after sa  nakakatakot na bangin..grabeh talaga !!!!

 c l o s e r    shots !!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s babaan time na from peak….as I mention on my fb post, nanakalula sa picture lalu  na sa tunay na buhay.
Even this is my 4th mountain….this is the most difficult one…..for the “buwis buhay” word.
It is really true , na isang pagkakamali lang …bye-bye worl na.. But as we sing on the top
“We did it … we did it..we did it !!!! hurray!!!!”
Thanks you so much Juxtapos Mountaineer’s…..thank you all ladies !!!!!!!
Another unforgettable mountain …see you on next climb.

Getting High at Majayjay ( former name Taytay Falls )

As we celebrate our 11th year as husband and wife
The icy cold water of this falls witness our celebration for this special day.Majayjay is a municipality in the province of Laguna, Philippines. It is located at the foot of Mt. Banahaw, and stands 1,000 feet above sea level. It’s confusing coz the falls named Majayjay Falls, but I discovered that Majayjay is the name of the municipality where the falls is located and the falls is actually named Taytay Falls. If it’s your first time there and you asked for direction, it’s better if you will asked for Taytay Falls, although others call it Majayjay Falls.

From Cabuyao we arrive @ Sta. Cruz  to Majayjay town proper they way to Taytay ,

A 20 to 30 minutes walk from the entrance bago marating yung falls,

Cool experience hindi lang cool sobrang kundi over sa pagka-cool .....

why ?  this is our drinking water...binabad namin at pag-angat ... ayan na....cold water na , astig di ba ?

See this little girl na kala mo sirena na hindi nalalamigan .... but check out what happen to our Kuya Jules
C H A R A N !!!!!!!!! hahaha .....nanginig na po sa ginaw ang Kuya namin ...this is his dialog first.

Jules: "Mi...puro kayo picture ...pede ba mag-swimming na tayo "
Me : "hindi ka ba giniginaw"
Jules : "hindi nu!!!! (sabay tanggal ng shirt...after lubog biglang ahon"
Me: " O anu na?"
Jules: (chilling)  "hang lammmeeeeggggg"

ahahahahah

A great time we spent .... masaya !!! and given a chance to back here .... we will.

Mt. Makiling Traverse

July 2- 3 , 2011 (with the Juxtapoz Pup Mountaineers)
from Sto. Tomas, Bats to Palanggana trail till campsite @ Melkas Ridge on Day 1,
Day 2 on Peak 2 traverse to Peak 3 down to UP at Los BaƱos to visit the famous Mudspring

All i remember on this Mak-Trav is the famous limatik who enter my eyes. But before that limatik story , let me tell how great experience we had in this kind of traverse.

From Sto. Tomas public market where our meeting place , down to  Pamahalaang Barangay of San Bartolome , we pay P20 for the registration. Total of 5 me and Bheng with Marvin , Rob and Joey.

That's it at my back, the mountain view were going to conquer . Medyo muddy as per locals umulan daw kasi the last night.

Then the trail start, walang sinayang na magandang view, dapat lahat may capture.

And the night comes , time for socials. Chikahan to intoduce ourselves because this my first time i met the team, even first time ...sobrang gaan ng luob ko sa kanila...it is right to call them KAPATID kasi i never felt na iba ako sa kanila.

" Good Morning... Melkas " makapal ang fog so nai-magine niyo na rin kung ganu kalamig the past night , nag chill lang naman ako at kainis pa...umulan din nung gabing un...grabeh talaga.

2nd Day  !!!!!
ready na ulit .... off course need to have pix before the 2nd day assault begin.

Rope session at Melkas Ridge.

Eto na yun, this pic ngalngal na ako because that limatik enter on my eyes , niloloko pa ko nila bheng but the thruth is, takot na tako na ako. But i ignore muna kasi pupunta pa kam i sa "Muspring"

Nadaanan pa namin itong "Agila Base"

And were here . "The Famous Mudspring" . an in-active volcano inside the Mt. Makiling,
